From your initial inquiry to the moment your artwork is delivered, the process is designed to be professional, personalised, and seamless.

  • Reach out via the enquiry form, email or social media to discuss your commission.
  • Share reference photos, preferred portrait size, and any specific requests.

2️⃣ Booking & Payment

  • A 20% non-refundable deposit secures your place in Charlie’s diary.
  • Monthly payment plans available (up to 6 months) – ask when booking.
  • Bespoke sizes available upon request.

Completion & postage

3️⃣ Artwork in Progress

  • Regular progress updates
  • You’ll be kept informed about timelines throughout the process.

4️⃣ Completion & Approval

  • Once finished, you’ll receive photos of the final portrait for approval.
  • Each portrait is signed and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.

5️⃣ Postage & Delivery

  • After approval, the remaining balance is invoiced.
  • Your artwork is carefully packaged for safe delivery.
  • Portraits are shipped flat or gently rolled, depending on size & destination.

Reference photos

A high-quality reference photo is key to creating a detailed, lifelike portrait.

Best Photo Guidelines:
✅ Natural lighting – outdoor or well-lit indoor spaces work best.
✅ Close-up & sharp focus – avoid zooming in or cropping.
❌ No screenshots or pre-cropped images – these reduce quality.

If you live close to Nottingham, for an additional fee Charlie can come and take the photo for you - dependent on location and availability.
